If you’re not much of a graphic novel fan, when you think of comic books, you’re probably thinking superheroes and spandex. When it comes to production companies, chances are that movies and television shows come to mind. Full Clip Productions is going to change your perception of both.

Founded by brothers Michael and John Schwarz with their good friend Sam Worthington (Avatar, Terminator: Salvation), Full Clip is an up-and-coming production company that not only delves into movies and TV, but graphic novels as well. On August 17th, they’ll be releasing the first part of their six-issue series Damaged, the story of two brothers – one vigilante, the other a cop – with very different ideas of justice.… Read More

Well, what can one say about day one of San Diego Comic-Con that hasn’t already been said. In a few words, the convention truly offers something for everyone, and the case was no different for the jam packed panel schedule in Ballroom 20, which featured panels from Burn Notice, Covert Affairs, Psych, Ringer, Game of Thrones, and the TV Guide Magazine Fan Favorites panel.

Without further ado, check out some of our shots throughout the day and be on the lookout for more throughout the weekend. Be sure to follow us on Twitter at @deadAWESOME for up-to-the-minute posts!

It’s no secret that San Diego Comic-Con has been growing over the years, evolving into a center for all things pop culture. Of course, with the expansion of coverage comes the inevitable expansion of the target audience. In just the past three years, demand for passes has gone up exponentially, pushing the con to maximum capacity – enough so to prompt discussion about moving the convention to another location, such as Las Vegas (to which I say no, by the way).

Team San Diego or Team Vegas, though, the fact remains: there are more people than ever clamoring to get to Comic-Con, and that means there’s no shortage of first timers.… Read More

Another year, another Comic-Con. Where has the time gone? Yes, in just four short weeks, San Diego Comic-Con will be in full-gear. If you haven’t compiled what cool stuff to bring to survive the four day event, it’s time to get on it!

Not counting deodorant, clean clothes, water, snacks, and comfortable shoes, we’ve pulled together four of the most essential Comic-Con effects for both casual con goers and the hardcore fan boy/girl. If this stuff fails to capture those unforgettable moments, or doesn’t kill the boredom of waiting outside of Hall H, nothing else will.

Side note: we are not paid to endorse these particular brands or products.… Read More

On paper, it’s a bit difficult to explain the appeal of NBC’s The Voice. Blind auditions? Four judges (Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, and Blake Shelton, respectively) competing against each other, as well as the contestants? Yeah, The Voice is something different. To make a long story short, even for a sci-fi nerd with a strong distaste for most reality TV, the show is addicting as hell.

Now in its third week, The Voice has moved from the Blind Auditions into the Battle Round. Last night, we said goodbye to Tyler Robinson, Tarralyn Ramsey, Tim Mahoney, and Niki Dawson as each faced off against Patrick Thomas, Frenchie Davis, Casey Weston, and Vicci Martinez.… Read More
